If the mind is strong, the future will be bright.” With this inspiring thought, a Mental Health Awareness Program was organized for differently-abled students at the Giants Deaf and Blind School, Shakkar Kuan Rastipura, Burhanpur. The initiative, run by the Giants Charitable Trust, aimed to boost self-confidence and mental strength among students.

Addressing the students, senior social worker and Secretary of Giants Charitable Trust, Mahendra Jain, gave a motivating message: “Have faith in yourself. He further added, “Don’t hide your sadness; share your feelings with your family, teachers, or friends.” Sharing creates a sense of belonging and teaches the art of living together with support and trust.

Mind Room Incharge and Senior Nursing Officer, Mrs. Seema David, highlighted the strength of the human mind. She said, “The power of your mind is the greatest power. A healthy and calm mind makes every task easier.”

She encouraged students to focus on hard work, set the right goals, and adopt positive thinking to achieve a respectable position in society. Her message inspired students to never lose hope and always strive for excellence.

During the session, students were informed about the Mental Health Counseling Cell, where guidance and counseling are available to help manage stress and mental challenges.
Manhit App for Students
The program also introduced the Manhit App, a digital tool designed to support mental well-being and provide useful resources for students.
Tele-Manas Helpline 14416
Students and teachers were educated about Tele-Manas Helpline 14416, a government-supported mental health helpline for immediate counseling and support.
