10 Dead, Several Injured; Amit Shah Says All Angles Being Probed


New Delhi, November 10, 2025: A high-intensity explosion occurred outside the historic Red Fort in central Delhi on Monday evening, leaving at least 10 people dead and several others injured. The blast took place in a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car around 7 p.m.,


according to preliminary reports. Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed that all possibilities are being explored and a comprehensive investigation is underway.


1. Details of the Incident

The explosion occurred in a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car near the Red Fort’s main entrance, shaking the surrounding area. Several vehicles were damaged in the blast, and a few pedestrians suffered injuries. Security personnel and emergency response teams immediately cordoned off the site and rushed the injured to nearby hospitals.

2. Amit Shah’s Statement

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “All possibilities are being explored and a thorough investigation will be conducted, taking all options into account.” He added that the blast occurred around 7 p.m., damaging nearby vehicles and injuring several people. Shah directed security agencies to stay on high alert across major Indian cities following the explosion.

3. Delhi CM Expresses Condolences

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident. “The explosion near the Red Fort is extremely distressing and alarming. I extend my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured,” she said in an official statement.

CM Gupta assured that every possible assistance is being provided to the victims and that teams from the Delhi Police, NSG, NIA, and FSL are jointly investigating the matter. She urged citizens to remain calm, avoid rumors, and rely only on official updates from the administration.

4. Forensic Investigation and Samples

According to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), samples from the blast site are being collected for detailed testing to determine the exact nature of the explosion. “The samples will be taken to the laboratory, and only after the examination will we be able to confirm the type of explosives used,” said FSL Officer Mohamad Wahid.

5. Two Men Detained in Connection with Blast

Delhi Police detained two men, Salman and Devender, in connection with the case. Both were identified as previous owners of the Hyundai i20 involved in the explosion. Investigators are tracing the vehicle’s detailed sales history to uncover potential leads and determine how the car reached the location before the blast.

6. How CCTV Footage Helped Trace the Car’s Final Journey

Investigators have retrieved crucial CCTV footage showing the car’s movements prior to the explosion. The footage reveals the vehicle traveling from the Daryaganj market area toward the Sunehri Masjid parking lot around 4 p.m. Cameras later captured it near Chhata Rail Chowk, where it took a U-turn and headed toward Lower Subhash Marg.

“The footage shows that the car slowed down near a traffic signal moments before the explosion occurred,” said an official. The police are now examining nearby cameras to track potential suspects and vehicles that might have been involved in the incident.
